I am Assistant Professor in the Division of Biomedical Informatics at the University of California San Diego. My area of research is human-computer interaction and patient-facing technologies. I am interested in developing novel ways to help patients and individuals build knowledge, increase efficacy, and enhance their health behavior and activities. (Please see project page for examples)
I have a career grant from NIH on developing methods and systems to weave clinical expertise into peer patient conversations in online health communities. I also recently started an NSF Smart and Connected Health funded project on developing a social information awareness system using acoustic sensing to help improve family routines for child obesity prevention.
Here is my CV and my email is jinahuh at ucsd dot edu.
